How To Put On A Duvet Cover

Duvet covers are a crucial part of any bedroom décor and can change the look and feel of a room. However, putting on a duvet cover can be a tricky task, leaving you with a messy and unkempt bed.
If you’ve ever tried to put on a duvet cover and felt unsure of yourself, then this step-by-step guide will help you make your bed look like a dream to jump into at night.
Before starting, it’s essential to ensure that your bedding is the correct size for your bed. If your duvet cover is too large, you’ll have difficulty getting it on. When you have the correct size, lay your duvet cover on top of your duvet and turn both inside-out.
Take one of the corners of the duvet and place it in the corresponding corner of the duvet cover. Holding the corner of the duvet in place, start to roll the bedding away from the corner, making sure to keep the other corners even. Once you’ve rolled across the bed, you should have the duvet inside the cover.
Now it’s time to secure it in place. Start with four tiny and tight knots at the corner of each side of the duvet cover. Use two knots on the top and two knots on the bottom. At this stage, the duvet should be held securely in place. If the corner that you first started with is still loose, simply take a moment to ensure all corners hold the duvet in place.
To finish the job, it’s important to shake and straighten the duvet cover. Reach in from one side of the bed and grab hold of the top corners. Shuffle and press the duvet into the cover, making sure it’s evenly distributed. Continue to shake and press both sides, until you’re sure that the duvet is properly placed in the cover.
Finally, the last step is to close the duvet cover. Reach in and grab hold of one corner. Gently tug it down to the bottom of the bed, making sure it’s smooth along the way. Do the same with the second corner, then close the zipper or buttons to complete the job.
By following this simple guide, you’ll have a tidy and comfortable bed in no time. Doing it right the first time will save you time and headaches in the future. And, as a bonus, taking the time to put on your duvet cover correctly will also help the cover last longer! So the next time you feel daunted by duvets, remember to keep calm, take your time, and enjoy your perfectly put-together bed.
